Thank you for considering rescue!! Please look around and if you find a border collie or border collie mix that fits your needs, here is how to proceed:

• All adoptions start with the ADOPTION APPLICATION
• Please read carefully about our ADOPTION PROCESS
• The adoption fee is $225. This helps cover the costs of altering, microchips, shelter fees, medications, and other necessary medical care we encounter while rehabilitating our fosters.

Ryn and Gracie are now in their forever homes but want everyone to help other foster dogs find wonderful homes like they did. Do you have someone on your Christmas list that you don’t know what to buy them?  Ryn and Gracie suggest that you make a donation to rescue in the name of your hard to buy for family member, friend or even your own pet. MidAmerica Border Collie Rescue will send a card to them, letting them know a donation has been made in their name and they will be listed on our website as sponsoring a dog.

Whether you seek a potential agility or flyball champ, a herding or working dog, or just a loving active companion, we would like to work with you to find the right match. Our dogs are our priority and we match them with the family that is going to meet every need...not just some, but all. If your perfect match isn't in rescue right now, please be patient. It may be the next one to get saved!

MidAmerica Border Collie Rescue is not a facility open to the public. The rescue dogs are fostered at individuals' homes, therefore appointments must be made in advance and only AFTER the application and approval process has been completed.

We rescue Border Collies that are surrendered to shelters, picked up as strays, or relinquished by those who can no longer care for them. Because of space and funding limitations, most shelters euthanize these dogs if they are not adopted within a short time. However, we will take owner surrenders if space is available. We must have CURRENT medical records/ health certificate, which include: rabies, spay/neuter, heartworm check and dhpp. If these records do not accompany your Border Collie upon surrender, then they will not be able to be taken into our rescue organization.

Border Collie ER The following dogs have had extensive surgery, or expensive medical conditions. We are asking for donations to help cover the extra expenses. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, so all donations are tax deductible. How to support our rescue Sponsor a border collie Donate supplies or funds to our rescue Purchase from our store or online affiliates Volunteer to help We are a nonprofit organization that needs your help in saving these border collies. Many of our dogs come in needing extra medical care because of broken bones, heartworms, wounds, and worse. Our dogs need your help to give each one a second chance. Please go to the Donations page or the Angel Program (sponsor a border collie) page. Purchase your border collie merchandise at our Online Store! All proceeds will be used to save another precious life. You will find many unique items and designs to show off your favorite breed, all the while contributing to the rescue. Volunteer to help! If you think you may have some time to help transport, make calls, evaluate dogs, write grants, or even foster, and much more, please fill out a Volunteer Application. We need your help!
