6/25/09 Hunter is really coming into his own...and he is all Border Collie! He loves to try to herd the lawn mower when I mow and he has discovered squeaky toys! He LOVES his squeaky toys and carries one in his mouth all over. His newest "job" is herding the litter of 4 week old lab puppies I have in foster. Talk about a job! They really don't want to flock! But Hunter is tireless and the puppies think it is a fun game as well...teasing Uncle Hunter. Hunter does have his down time and really enjoys a long belly rub. He is shedding his coat right now and his under coat is a really rich mahogony. He will be very handsome in a few weeks (more pictures to come then!). He also loves to lay in the water trough on these hot days to cool off. 5/4/09 Hunter is a really great dog. He is wonderful with kids, and loves gettting his belly rubbed! Hunter still thinks that cats really want to be herded and can't figure out why they won't flock! He is a water dog and may have a future as a goose dog. He does not have any ball drive, but loves to herd the other dogs around the yard. He would make a great agility dog and quite possibly a decent herding dog. Hunter loves car rides and sleeps quietlly in his crate all night. 3/24/09 Hunter is a neutered male, about two years old. Hunter came from a hoarder situation in Southern KY. He was one of more then 200 dogs removed from one man. Hunter is a very sweet dog who loves everyone he meets. He LOVES to have his belly rubbed and will lay for anyone willing to rub it! He is great with all other dogs, but will herd cats. He will focus very intently on my border collie savvy cats and would do best in a home with no cats. Hunter is crate trained and knows how to sit and shake. He also LOVES to ride in the car. He hops right in and stretches out on the back seat. He does not have a high energy level and would do well either as a pet or as a potential agility dog. He does try to herd my horses and may have quite a bit of herding instinct. He is a very quiet, confident dog who will make a great addition to the right home. For more information please contact Jean
