10/2/08 Tink is beginning to settle in and beginning to show her true colors. We have worked very hard on getting her to settle and she has learned that she gets lots more attention when she uses her manners. She rarely jumps up on us any more and greets the kids in a much better manner too. She pretty much has walking down pat, occasionally she spies something that needs further investigation and takes off, but a quick reminder and she drops back to heel. She loves her crate and will sleep quietly all night in the crate. She has learned which cats to leave alone, but outside does enjoy chasing the cats..inside she will ignore all but one...and he does ask to be chased! Tink is very food motivated and will make a great obedience or agility prospect. She does enjoy chasing a tennis ball, but hasn't yet figured out the bringing it back part! 9/18/08 Tink is a 9 month old border collie mix who is just a ball of energy! She loves the water and jumps in and out of the trough I have for the dogs to play in. Tink is crate trained and knows how to sit. We are working hard on her leash manners and teaching her that it is better to sit then to jump up. She is a quick study and should have those things down pat in a short amount of time. Tink is very good with kids, but may be too rambunctious for young kids. She loves my 6 and 8 year old daughters, but she does tend to scare my 6 year old a bit when she comes barreling at her. Tink loves the company of other dogs and doesn't even look twice at the cats. She loves to go for car rides and will stretch out across the back seat and nap we as we go.
