My Husband John and I (Jennifer) adopted Ky, in November of 2006. When we got Ky he was a very shy dog, and was very small weighing in at only 22Ibs at 1 1/2 years old. ky is now 2 1/2 and weighs 31 Ibs. He was and is so sweet and adorable when we met him we knew he was the one for us. Ky showed no interest in playing ball or fetch he didn't really show to much interest in toys at all. He just wanted his belly rubbed or to be loved on in anyway.
After our first couple of weeks of getting to know us, he now shows his true colors. He is a truly fabulous dog. He is smart, funny, happy, and loving all the time. He now enjoys a game of fetch but will only play for about 10 or 15 minutes a day. When we go outside to play, Ky and Lexy chase each other all over the yard. When we play fetch, Ky is right be hind Lexy ready to herd her, chase her and jump on her, anything to distract her. He also likes to chase Tigerlily (The Cat) or they like to chase each other. He loves going for walks, camping, hiking, playing, treats, rawhides, getting cuddles and his most favorite thing is Bedtime!! If he is not at the door when we get home he is laying our bed, when he's not beside us, he's in our bed. I am so proud of him. He is great when we go out anywhere for walks, Camping he helps get water or he thinks he is helping. He is such a wonderful dog. Ky has brought such great joy to our lives, with his creepy goofy smiles, his big ol' ears, beautiful brown eyes, the way he turns his head when you got to kiss him,(as if he is saying no I don't like that or no Kisses mom/dad NO kisses) What more could you ask for. I want say say thank you to Sheila for rescuing and fostering Ky and taking such good care of him. Thank you so much we appreciate everything you done for him and us. John and Jennifer Wilds |
