Shy & Jake

Unfortunately, SHY had to say a sad goodbye to her Springer Spaniel Friend, Pepper, of the last year and a half. Pepper had very bad back problems, and left us for the Rainbow Bridge in Mid August. The loss of Pepper was terrible for us all, but Shy's Mom & Dad knew she had to have another dog friend.

In early September, SHY's parents adopted a beautiful mostly white Border Collie boy named "JAKE" from MBCR. SHY & JAKE have become fast friends. They love to romp, play, and chase each other all through the house and in the yard outside.

JAKE is a very nice dog, he's like a cuddly fluffy white stuffed toy! He is friendly, lovable, and just wants to be by his humans and please them. One of JAKE & SHY's favorite places in the house, is laying on the bed in the guest bedroom together, and looking out the window.

SHY & JAKE both know that " Life-is-good-to-be-a-MBCR-rescued-dog " and be placed in a loving & forever home with great humans!

Once upon a time there was a fragile, frightened, timid, but beautiful, little Border Collie who was found at an Indiana kill shelter, in early 2005.

Some nice volunteers from MBCR rescued her, named her SHY, and gave her all the medical care she needed.

SHY then went on a long journey from Indiana to Minnesota to her Foster Home with Jamie. Jamie gave SHY lots of TLC and helped boost her confidence. Then, some nice people named Gale & Mark, noticed SHY on the MBCR website and wanted to adopt her. SHY then took another long journey from Minnesota to North Eastern Illinois to live with Gale, Mark, and a handsome older male Springer Spaniel, PEPPER.

SHY has lived with Gale, Mark, and Pepper for a little over a year, and she is blossoming into a wonderful, affectionate, loyal, Border Collie. SHY enjoys sleeping in Mom & Dads big comfy bed, daily early morning dog walks, playtime in the yard chasing tennis balls, and romping with PEPPER. SHY also enjoys her warm summer days relaxing on Mom & Dads Pontoon Boat. SHY looks forward to her regular visits to the "Doggie Spa' where she and PEPEPR get a relaxing bath, and come home smelling like Downy Fabric softener, and they look all fluffy too!

SHY's Mom and Dad are working on her confidence. It is a work in progress, but this little BC has so much potential, Mom and Dad are determined to make her become the best little girl she can possibly be. SHY thinks life is very very good now, and is thrilled she has found her forever and ever, loving home! Mom, Dad, and Pepper also consider SHY a very treasured, and much loved family member.
