Attila
now Harley

An adopted Border Collie

I just want to update everyone on my little boy, once known as Attila.  We were so excited to get this dog that we went to Indiana to pick him up.  He slept the whole way home to Illinois.  As we looked at our new found family member, we decided that he needed a new name, his name is now Harley.

Harley has been a very very good dog, we have had him for over a year now.  Harley loves to play catch, he brings the toy to you and waits for you to throw it.  If you do not throw it soon enough he starts to bark at you.

When we picked him up, we read the letter in his file that stated he gets the "zoomies", well to this day we still experience them.  Harley's eyes get wide and his ears go back and he runs and runs thru the house until he tires himself out.  We have learned to pull our feet up on the furniture and let him go.  On the weekends, when Harley says it is time to get up, you better get up or he is going to throw his body into the bed and shake it until you get up.

Harley does get to go and run a bigger yard at my parents house.  Here he has two other dogs ( Daisy and Dakota) to play with.  They are 70 lb labs and Harley loves to run the yard with them.  He also has a cat to torment and boy does he.

Harley is a well behaved dog that listens to both my husband and I.  When it is time for us to go to work, all that has to be said is," Harley it is time for us to go to work" and he will go to his kennel, open the door and walk right in.  If we tell him it is time to go see Daisy and Dakota, he runs to the door that goes to our garage, opens the screen door and runs to the truck waiting for us.
