Hero

Hero an adopted border collie

After searching the internet for months I finally saw those soulful eyes and said: “That’s the guy for me.” Between his nearly 500 dollar flight, crate, and rescue fees etc. he was almost the price of new. But I like ‘em broken in a bit and he seemed special to me. My brother and my vet (upon my sending them a link to the photos of him on your website) agreed he looked like an old soul and looked like he should be my next best friend.

Since his arrival we have been hiking the Santa Monica Mts., the Angeles Forest, Malibu, Morgan Territory and just about any new place we fall into on our road trips. He seems very happy. It took a bit for him to believe he might be staying and that all this goodness wasn’t just another sucker punch. And since his surrender he has been the most loving fellow. And boy is he a face licker.

He definitely shows his mid America heritage. As soon as the temp gets above 55 he is looking for shade. And as our winter this year was almost all 80s and 90s he now has a happy face since our spring has been 50s and 60s.

In 3 weeks he will (I presume) pass his therapy certification tests. Three weeks after that he takes his good citizen test (granted a bit backwards but thats the way it is.
